Ws Notes
David and Steven went to bupaluka village in both lower and upper sections there intention of going there was checking on the status of the two boreholes the one in upper section that Kibo drilled and the other one in lower section which was recently repaired by Kibo as well as continuing to encourage the residents to contribute money towards their borehole a account in addition to the amount Kibo left them with by the time of repairing of their borehole. The borehole talked about is the one in the lower section which was having a lot of persistent issues like time taken filling a jerrycan was five minutes. They advised the residents together with the committee members to always not over pump their borehole for example from morning hour to mid day giving it time to rest to recover more water since the borehole talked about was noted as being a-low recovery borehole . The borehole was working well from morning when it approached mid day the water stopped coming not until after some three hours of resting till they pumped it once again . They were also advised by Kibo staff to continue contributing more money for their borehole account the committee members said that they will be having a borehole community meeting in order to bring those up to speed. They moved towards the upper section to where Kibo drilled the other borehole they found it in a good working condition because water mission an organization had encouraged the residents in lvukula sub county to construct good fences around their boreholes for good protection. They found some good development around the borehole because the residents were using the water for brick making about twenty thousand bricks were being manufactured by some members they said the bricks were for commercial purposes. Kibo continued encouraging the members they came across to join such developments and the initiators of the brick making project were thanked and appreciated. The chairman of the upper borehole told Kibo of one home which where they did not want to pay towards the borehole. They requested to have a meeting with this home and asked that also the chairman should be present. They had 160000 for the upper section borehole and 70000 for the other borehole which Kibo recently had repaired.
