- Notes
- David and Steven were in kitukiro village to assess the sanitation status as well as the alleged water issue. The Kibo staff made a trip to the above mentioned village after ida had reported about the water stress issue. However when David and Steven reached the village they were welcomed by the village chairman mr Budalah Kasadha. The village chairman led them into the different homes . They moved in about 60 homes because they were assessing the sanitation status at the same time monitoring the distance the community members moves from their homes to where they could get the water for their home use .However the Kibo staff on the side of water issue they discovered that the people moves more than 2km’s to the near water source. They also assed that on the side of sanitation there was greater need for teaching and setting for the village the rightful sanitation standards and improvements. Later after David and Steven’s home to home movements they promised the community members who had gathered waiting for them for the way forward. They were told that they will be going there to carry out the baseline survey. And it will be from the baseline survey that they will have the rightful answer for their request.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the entire village,it wasn’t good. Therefore there was need for the sanitation improvements .
