- Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on sanitation and hygiene improvement. The purpose for the visit was to meet with the local leaders to know how far Water mission an Ngo went towards giving this village a new borehole. The information got from the leaders, was that till now they haven’t returned. Martin and the local leaders moved around the community to continue teaching the use of ash in the latrines, standardization of all the facilities and use of good materials like cement and sand to make strong walls. In the trading center he saw three new latrines and two of the families for over 30 years they didn’t have anything like a latrine because they didn’t know the importance of latrines. The VHTs and Chairman are appreciating the great work Kibo has done in this village. This is because there is no open defecation in the trading centre at the moment. During the meeting, Martin encouraged the leaders to work so hard this year so that everyone in this village gets a latrine.
