Notes
More than 350 people turned up for the triggering meeting. The village leaders and WASH staff did a good job to mobilize the village for this meeting to the extent that even the two private schools in the community cancelled all their afternoon classes to attend the triggering meeting. These two schools, St. Paul P/s and St. James P/ S composed Poems and songs about sanitation. It was very good to see these kids perform in front of their parents and teaching them about proper sanitation practices. The drama group did a very job to teaching the community about sanitation through songs and drama. A group of six people willingly came out to be on the sanitation committee and encourage all the people to have all these sanitation facilities in their homes. The community went through all the steps of sanitation being guided by Alex, David, Martin and Steven and all learnt well why every body needed to have clean homes. They were all encouraged to construct standard facilities that will sustain them for a long time. The village leader, Mr. Tatyaise Anthony appreciated Kibo group for coming back to their village with this sanitation program because some people had totally forgotten about proper sanitation and hygiene standards and he vowed to be very active working closely with the sanitation committee to encourage all the people to have all the required facilities.

Next Visit: 2019-08-09 - Purpose: Meeting with the sanitation committee and have a training of how they will go about their work
