- Notes
- Suzan went to the village to guide the members from the upper side as they build the stoves on their own. When she arrived there, she found the members already gathered at one of their elderly member’s homes stamping the dirt.
They got so happy to see Suzan and some of the leaders made a few reports on how they went a head building stoves for the new members who had just joined them, and how some of the members were still smearing their homes and repairing their kitchens. Suzan thanked the members for the good work done and encouraged them to always guide one another in some activities such as smearing their homes and building the stoves especially for those who had just joined the group.
The members began building the stove step by step while Suzan watched and participated in certain steps, this was to ensure that they built the stove correctly. The only challenge that they faced while building the stove was to measure and fix the banana stems at the right positions. Suzan showed them once again how it was done making sure that each one mastered the skill at least.
The stove was finally built and the members rejoiced, dancing and singing while praising Kibo group for the programs introduced in their village so far. The members promised to always work hard together so as to develop effectively within their community. Suzan wished them well and left the village.
