- David and Steven were in the village to check on the borehole status ,the water user committee status and emphasizing more about the safe water chain. When the Kibo staff reached the village they were joined by mr Mpata and Waako David they led them to the two boreholes. They checked on the two boreholes . However the status of the two boreholes were good because the community had maintained and kept the good care and full ownership of their borehole . Therefore the Kibo staff after having visited the two boreholes they advised the village to always taking the good care of their borehole . The Kibo staff continued and advised them to replace the new fences by new ones . By using stronger poles for the sustainability of their borehole fence. Later after they visited about 52 homes encouraging them to maintain the required sanitation standards. Out of the 52 homes the Kibo staff visited the majority of the homes had good standardized sanitation facilities in place.Apart from the few homes which didn’t have the necessary sanitation facilities. For the few homes which didn’t have facilities in place were advised to work and improve on their sanitation standards.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation standards of the entire village they were good.Except for the few homes which were advised to improve on their sanitation standards.
