Mvule Community Development
After supplying trees to nabituluntu community, Abraham, chris and Alex felt there was need to visit them and check how the village members planted them and also see how they are caring for them and advice them accordingly.
Prior to this visit, the people of nabituluntu were so excited to receive the trees from Kibo, Abraham and chris taught them how to plant and care for the trees so Abraham , chris and Alex visited to specifically see how the members planted the trees.
Since Alex couldn’t move well because of the accident he got, Abraham requested him to sit as the chairman, chris and Abraham moved around the homes to see the trees.
It was encouraging to note that all the homes actually planted the trees except a few who did not follow the right procedure.
We found that two homes had not spaced the Mvule trees at a 30 meter distance between but Abraham and chris advised them to transplant some trees to create space for farming .
Abraham, chris and the chairperson came back to join the rest of the community members and the area VHT raised some issue of bed bugs, he said the homes are infested with bedbugs and requested Abraham, chris and Alex to recommend the best remedy since they had tried most measures but it seems the bedbugs just keep on resurrecting.
Abraham told them to not wait for the government or Kibo to clean their homes but it should be every ones responsibility to smear their houses and look for the best insecticide to spray their houses.
Abraham promised to look for the best insecticide and meet them the next visit and decide as a community how they will do about it.
Next Visit: 2019-09-25 - Purpose: The next visit is about what they can do together as a community .
