Notes
Enock and Martin made a visit in this community to check on the progress of sanitation and hygiene. They first made a visit in the local leaders homes where they saw a great improvement and change in their homes which included new latrines, shower areas, kitchen areas, dish rack, new hand washing station and clean compounds. They encouraged and emphasized the leaders to always help their fellow residents to understand the benefits of good sanitation. After the visit if the local leaders homes, Martin and Enock decided to split up and take different sections of the village will the local leaders so that they can reach a great number of homes. Martin took the lower section of the village where he saw several new latrines, two new pits and almost done with the construction. He taught the lessons of smearing these facilities and how important it is. There are many new hand washing stations that he saw and promoted the continuous use of hand washing stations and using of soap. The section where Enock walked, he saw some good standard structures, good shower areas constructed with cement on top. This is going to help there shower areas to stand strong for a good period of time. He also taught and guided other residents to copy the same from their friends how to use Cement this will help for sustainability. The community has greatly been transformed and all the local leaders are strongly embraced the sanitation program.
