Tom met with the village leaders and sanitation and hygiene committee members to discuss about the results from the third evaluation as well as discussing about sanitation and hygiene maintenance. When Tom arrived in the village, he was welcomed by the chairman of the village as well as other Leaders. Before the meeting, they first visited one of the homes near by where a new latrine was bing constructed to replace the one that collapsed. Tom thanked the resident and the leaders for the great encouragement they have offered to there village and he echoed more need to always reach out to people and continue encouraging them even after there facilities have collapsed. After the visit, Tom shared with them the results of the third evaluation. Tom appreciated them for the effort made in achieving the standards they achieved but also reminded them that they need to continue as there were some residents who were still behind. The chairman and the committee members suggested of making those residents a priority to get them to finish there facilities. They also discussed about the progress being made towards the improving the borehole. The chairman said they met with village residents and decided on an amount that each resident has to contribute to make it possible. The chairman said he would be moving to residents collecting the money for the materials. On the issue of improving and sustaining the sanitation in the village, the committee members suggested that they would assign sections of the village to specific individuals so that each section is well followed up on.
