- Notes
- Harriet ,Jeska,Tape ,Irene Ngobi found the participants when they had already gathered at the meeting place. They were busy cutting grass that will be used to build stoves.
They welcomed kibo staff with songs and dancing showing how happy they were to receive them in their village and the opportunity granted to them.
The participants had already selected two homes where the demonstration stoves were to be built ( for Bettu Amoti and Naigaga Monica).
Harriet divided the participants into two groups and each group was joined by two kibo staff.
Each group worked as a team to collect the termite dirt and cut banana stems. Kibo staff guided them how to mix termite dirt and grass at a ratio of 1:2 basins as the participants watched . This was intended to ensure that they master that process.
The participants together with kibo joined and stamped the dirt as they danced and sang together showing how happy they were for the program.
Kibo staff built two demonstration stoves as they explained the whole process to the group. Harriet asked them to pay attention on the process, learn, and them practice in future because practice makes perfect.
She also asked them to continue cutting grass that will be used to build stoves.
