Notes
Suzan went to the village to discuss with the members on how to scale out to the neighboring villages without facing challenges. When she got there, she found some members including new members who didn’t have stoves already gathered at the meeting place. Suzan was warmly welcomed by the community and after exchanging greetings, one of the members opened the meeting with a prayer. Suzan informed the members about what was going to be discussed about that day and requested each one to try and open up and share ideas which would help in finding solutions to their challenges. The chairperson on behalf of the members said that the main challenges they faced was building stoves for new members yet they wanted everything to be done freely. The current group members had requested the new members to a least be paying them 10,000sh per stove and prepare a meal each time they built a stove, but the new members kept on saying they were very poor and had nothing except preparing only a meal for them. Suzan then requested each new member to at least come to an agreement with the members who already have stoves so that they would also be able to have the fuel efficient stoves because it was a long hard process building the stoves single handedly. The new members finally accepted to pay something after realizing how hard it was in building the fuel efficient stove and meeting came to an end.
