This was the first day of borehole survey in Kisiro village searching for potential sites to drill water in Kisiro. The village was extremely happy on seeing the hydrogeologist in their village to survey for water something that was like unexpected this soon. Right away the hunt for water started with many village people coming out to witness the whole process and how it’s done. This village in general is very challenging because of the big rock that run almost the whole village. The first day wasn’t good as the surveyor failed to get any good point for water and also the rains started in the afternoon to push us to stop the survey. On Saturday 12/10/2019, the water survey continued in the village and this time the surveyor tried the lower part of the village towards the swamp searching for better results that would be potential for water. In the same way the surveyor tried all his best but the results being got were all frustrating and not good at all. More than 15 points were surveyed on that day but nothing turned out to be suitable for water drilling. The surveyor decided to even measure the readings for the existing well in Isamba section where The Whole village currently gather to get water so that he could match the results he gets while surveying. That day unfortunately turned out unsuccessful because no potential water point was got. Also on a sad note , a very bad storm took place again on that day and some village residents lost their houses that day and lost their roofs. On Sunday the survey was meant to continue but the village had meetings with the sub county government officials who were on ground to asses the damage caused by the storm that took place on Saturday.
