Notes
Irene went to maliga to teach about the causes and prevention of burns. Irene started with a recap of the previous lesson then after the review asked the community members what they understand by the word burn? Teopista said it’s when fire comes in contact with your skin, aulat said it’s when something hot gets on one’s skin. And many more other contributions as other members contributed Irene made an addition to what the members had said then asked the members most of the causes of burns and waiswa said negligence was the most cause of burns in homes,Naisanga gave open flames and un intended accidents, then Irene added sickness like epilepsy even when people believe its witch craft, among others. Then later Irene asked how they can avoid burns. Safe stoves was one of the examples given, among others. Then with that discussion Irene requested the members to take great note on the prevention of burns so as to avoid spending their money in the hospitals. And to refer each patient with burns to the hospital.
