Notes
Harriet walked home to home while inspecting on the stoves usage, smearing of home facilities and maintenance.
It was very interesting to see most people cooking on their stoves on daily basis and this was evidenced by the absence of three stones in the kitchens. She also found some some children cooking food for the family as the parents were busy in the gardens growing food crops. Also she came across Mr. Mugoya cooking food for his family who told Harriet that the stove has improved on their family life because he doesn’t have to wait for his wife to cook for him food.
This is because the stoves are effective and convenient to cook food. For instance it uses less firewood , cooks fast, vents out smoke that has attracted both women, men and children to cook food for the family. Also parents are not worried to leave their children cooking for them selves because it has less risks of fire accidents.
Also some people have started smearing their home facilities. Harriet encouraged them to continue smearing their facilities.
