- This was the second day of borehole drilling in Igerera B and Alex went to supervise the whole process of borehole drilling to the end. It was a very successful day having got plenty of water from this new well. The first day of borehole drilling ended when water first water had been got at 24M. It was all through a lot of water the second day getting a lot of water that it was even hard to measure it. It was estimated at 50,000L/HR having completed drilling up to 51M. Because of the hard rock and the formation that was challenging, we decided to end at that and indeed because it was plenty of water more than enough for the whole community. This well would even serve if it was turned into a commercial pump. The drillers believe that because of its capacity , it can even serve the whole of Namutumba town. However the plan is to have it hand pump for the people of Igerera B village but it can be turned into a commercial well in the future may be. This is so far the best borehole with a lot of water from all the wells that Kibo group has done in Namutumba district. The village was extremely happy on seeing a lot of water that was got and even enjoyed taking it home when it was being blown to clear.
