Notes
There are homes near the mosque for long they had poor sanitation in their homes. Enock targeted these homes in this visit, to check on the progress of latrine construction and other facilities. They have been using the latrine at the mosque instead of them digging their own. Enock had spoken to the residents who stay in those houses two weeks back to work on their facilities. The good news is, two latrines are being dug about 10ft deep, they were complaining that the ground is so hard since it’s a sunny season. Enock encouraged the ladies and children to team up and dig rubbish pits as the men are working on dish racks, digging latrines, construction of the structures on latrines and shower areas. There are some good 5 dish racks constructed in the upper section of this village. Enock also taught the homes to use ash in the latrine due to the many house flies found in some of the latrines. Enock demonstrated how Ash is used and taught the benefits of using it everyday and after visiting the latrine. During the home to home walking the community was also encouraged and taught the importance of washing hands after visiting the latrine and before eating anything.
