Notes
Alex was in Ndhalike to follow up on household sanitation improvements made by checking on all Sanitation facility improvements. It’s currently raining so hard every day and unfortunately some homes have lost their facilities like pit latrines collapsing because of the heavy rains. On the other hand there are some improvements made in some homes like some homes have completed digging pits. All the pick axes and shovels are busy with people digging new pits. Together with three sanitation committee members they visited some 18 homes in the village to asses the improvements made and noted some improvements. The current rains have slowed down work on sanitation because it’s almost raining everyday and causing some facilities to collapse. This is sometimes very frustrating to some people but Alex continued to encourage the village to build long lasting facilities that can even endure heavy rains. It also raining so hard before completing to visit the target homes.
