- Notes
- Martin went to lgerera A, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. He walked around the upper section of the village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs. The community members are willing to work with kibo, so that they can improve their sanitation facilities in their homes. At list every home is struggling to work on their sanitation facilities like digging a new pit latrine, and others have constructed them, rubbish pits, kitchens and shower areas with bricks and cement. And what is making them to work hard on their sanitation facilities, because Igerera B is their nearby village. And they are hearing what is going on about the sanitation facilities in that village, and some community members are trying to visit them and see what is going on.
For those who are working on their sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, dish racks, rubbish pits, kitchens and shower facilities. The group was encouraging them about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate mosquitoes, flies and smell in their homes. Because those three things can cause some diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid. And those diseases can cause death, especially on the side of children. They are willing to work on their sanitation facilities to reduce those diseases in their homes as well as the village. And kibo is willing to work with them to make their village clean.
The group walked in 35homes.
