Enock made a visit to this community to teach the new dish rack design to the residents of this community. He had initially mobilized the residents to come for the meeting and everyone seemed to be so interested. The chairman and VHTs had been assigned to bring poles and hummer and we had promised them some niles as we make a demonstration of a new dish rack. When I reached the community, I met the chairman LC1 and VHTs who where waiting for me at our meeting place. They gave me some sad news of the loss of their beloved residents who was staying next to the school. They told me most people are going to the funeral and it will be so hard to continue with our program of demonstrating a good dish rack. We decided to walk around the a few homes to just check on the progress of latrine construction, shower areas, kitchen areas and rubbish pits. After a short evaluation walk around, we also went to the funeral to share sorrow moment with the community and the family which lost their beloved one. I was so impressed to see how busy everyone, walking to get her to help the family which has lost their beloved one. The community members collected water, dug the grave yard, contributed money to buy the food and other things to run the funeral. Thus showed unity of the community and willingness to work together in sad moments and encouraging one another. I also gave some condolences money and brief message of encouraging and prayed for the family to be strong. The community members where so happy to also see Enock with them during this sorrow moments and send off of their beloved one. We rescheduled to have another meeting with the community members about dish rack demonstration.

2019-11-06 - Purpose: To check on latrine construction and other facilities. To also encourage, monitor and evaluate the progress of sanitation and hygiene. To teach the new dish rack construction.
