- Notes
- Martin went to Kishaike, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. For those who have worked on their sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, kitchens and shower areas, the group was encouraging them about maintenance and smearing, to make them strong and clean. And for those who are still working on facilities, they was encouraging them about standards. Good enough the big number of homes have worked on their sanitation facilities. They are few homes who are still working on their facilities latrine constructions, dish racks and hand washing stands.
The village leaders have seen the value of home facilities, and they decided to walk encouraging those who are still working on their sanitation facilities, even if kibo staff is not there. It’s so good on the side of kibo, if they do like that. it can force the community members to work and complete their facilities. And kibo is willing to work with them, because they are hard working people to compare to other villages. And they are appreciating kibo staff for the work going around that village, and they are willing to work on their sanitation facilities, so that they change their village.
The group walked in 40homes.
