Notes
Tape, Suzan and Jessica went to Kagulu A to guide the members as they built the stoves on their own. However they were unable to do so because many of the group members had gone for a burial at the neighboring village and only a few members had stayed behind. Kibo staff and the community agreed and postponed the date when the stoves would be built and decided to move around a few homes while monitoring the stoves and other facilities. Some members were cooking on their stoves while others said they prefer cooking on them only during public holidays because they feared they would crack and get old faster. Kibo staff requested all the members to keep maintaining their facilities and use their new stoves for cooking so as to avoid the previous challenges they faced while using the old three stones open flames. They also told them as long as they kept smearing their stoves, they would last longer. Some of the challenge the village was facing currently was the rains which had destroyed some of their facilities such as the dish racks, shower areas, kitchen roofs, and latrines. The members were just rebuilding their facilities and smearing their buildings because the mud had been wiped off from the walls. Later after, the members came together and the chairperson thanked Kibo staff for the visit and advice given and the meeting came to an end .
