- Alex and Chris visited Bukudumira village to follow up on whether the community opened their group bank account and to also emphasize on how best they can use their group account. The chairperson thanked Kibo for bringing unity in the community and also thanked the community members for being committed however he encouraged those who had not yet contributed their membership fee to do it as soon as possible. The chairperson also reported that the money they got from their cow peas garden, part of it facilitated the committee in terms of transport and documents to open the group account. Alex thanked the community for making a great achievement of opening their group account, he encouraged the signatories of the bank account to be trustworthy and call meetings to show accountability to the members. Chris taught the members about the importances of keeping money in the bank than in the house, Chris said money in the bank makes profits in form of interests unlike money in the house. Chris also encouraged the committee leaders to keep proper books of account to help them keep records of the money they withdraw and deposit in the bank. At that point, it started raining heavily but Alex appealed to the members to get ready for the next meeting on Wednesday 27th next week. Then members then hurried to their homes. So next week on Wednesday, Alex and Chris are going to visit and still talk about how best they can use their group account.
