- Notes
- Tom made a,visit to ibaako village and met with the village leaders about conducting the baseline survey. A decision was made that the survey be conducted in one section of the village were the borehole was dug. They also greed to get the village leaders who will be conducting the baseline with the kibo staff members.
The chairman of the village encouraged the leaders to be there at the meeting place one time as its important for the baseline to be started and finished. He said if the baseline is started late because of the leaders coming late, then there would be a possibility of the village not being finished as well as it being a rainy season, he advised that the baseline be started early.
Tom also emphasized the point that it was a volunteer service without any explanation of payment. The chairman and the committee members said they have received much from kibo so they don’t expect anything from kibo for the baseline.
Tom had earlier suggested that he moves around the upper section to see the village but because of rain, they could not do it and instead they remained inside the chairman’s office until the rain stopped and after Tom left for jinja.
