Enock and Martin visited this community to check on the progress of latrine construction, dish racks, shower areas, hand washing sanitation, kitchen areas, rubbish pits and improving on their sanitation. We walked around to continue mobilizing, sensitizing, monitoring, evaluating and encouraging the residents to improve of their hygiene. They walked around reminding the people about the core values and benefits of sanitation. They spoke about good health and importance proper sanitation. They also spoke about the many diseases like diarrhea, dysentery, cholera, typhoid, malaria, trachoma and more diseases which cause a lot expenses for medication. There has been a great improvement in sanitation and hygiene. There is no home in this community practicing open defecation, the chairman and VHTs are really appreciative for the good development of the community. There are so many new hand washing stations, latrines which are in use.
There are many new facilities which are well constructed with bricks, we also advised more people to use cement.
We walked around the homes to continue mobilizing the whole community to walk together and improve on their sanitation which will help them develop more and save some money, save time to improve on there homes and have time for their gardens.
