Notes
Alex and Chris went to Nabituluntu to continue with the engagement with the leaders of the community. Nabituluntu being one of the communities with a challenge of leadership, Alex and Chris are working hard to empower and encourage the leaders to carry out responsibilities bestowed upon them by the community members. Unfortunately Alex and Chris found the community members mourning one of the residents who passed on last week. It was a difficult moment in the community and to show compassion and love Kibo has for the community, Alex and Chris went to the funeral not only to sympathize and mourn with the community members but also to mobilize the community members and the leaders for the next meeting. Alex and Chris walked around from home to home checking on the condition of trees the members planted, it was encouraging to find members irrigating trees and building cages around the trees for protection, this is because Alex and Chris have been teaching members how to care for trees. Mr Isabirye Constanti is one of the members Alex and Chris have always wanted to meet, Mr Isabirye took 37 trees for planting, he was so excited to meet us as well, he thanked Kibo for making his dream come true of planting a good number of mvule trees on his land , he indeed took Alex and Chris to check on his trees and what Alex and Chris found was so amazing, he spaced the trees so well although he did not put cages on some trees , Alex taught him how to build cages and by the time Alex and Chris left his garden, Mr Isabirye had already started building cages around his trees. Alex and Chris encouraged the community members and leaders to stay together in such trying moment and promised to meet with them on 4th next month.
