Notes
David and Steven were in igerera B to continue training the water user committee about their respective roles and responsibilities. They were also planning on how the village was hoping to build the borehole fences on the two wells. As the Kibo staff were in the village they were joined by kamiya Charles who led them to the two boreholes. They first visited the new well which the Kibo had recently drilled. After that David and Steven visited the government well because they thought it important to reduce on the pressure on the new well by patterning with the village to also help by repairing the next well .However for the two well were not having the fences because the village had just started contributing towards the buying of the bricks which would be used for their fences construction. Therefore the Kibo staff called the two committee members from the different boreholes together for a meeting. They reminded the members on their full respective roles and responsibilities towards their borehole. The members were encouraged that the only way they would keep their well sustainably. It was to continue contributing towards their borehole account. They were also reminded that it would not be the Kibo always to repair for village the borehole. They were also advised to work on one well at a time so that later they would also work on the other. David and Steven were encouraged by the village members because they at,east saw some bricks which the sanitation committee showed to the Kibo staff in some home. Later the kibo staff visited the homes which were affected by the recent rains. They moved along with some sanitation committee members while encouraging the owners of the affected homes to reconstruct again in their homes stronger sanitation facilities. The affected members responded by saying that they would be again working to improve on the affected sanitation facilities. They also said that they will be contributing money towards their borehole account. The members from the government well they continued and said that they never wanted to repeat the same mistakes which the previous committee had committed. Because the village previously they-had not known of their full roles and responsibilities towards their borehole. Therefore they were thanking Kibo for the good methods of taking care of their wells . In general according to to the sanitation status of the entire village was good.Except for the few homes which were affected by the recent rains.
