Notes
When Tom reached the village and found when the vhts were waiting for him. They first had a short meeting to discuss about the issue of slabs and discussing about those that had expressed their interest in having the slabs. In the meeting, they realized that only a total of about 25 people had expressed their interest in the slabs. Tom and the vhts realized that even though many want the slabs, they are worried that they will not be able to afford them. Tom encouraged the vhts that for now, they will put on hold the issue of slabs and focus on improving the sanitation and hygiene of the village. When they started moving around, they first moved to the homes around the borehole where they found two homes without latrines when they had started working in their latrines. In the first home, they have already put the concrete floor while the neighbor is constructing on the 6ft pit. Tom encouraged her to use that one temporarily as she plans on a better one for the future. Tom was also asked about a situation in which many pits have been dug in the same location with just a few meters apart. Tom encouraged them to construct the latrines with concrete floor and brick to reduce the risks of collapsing. Tom and the vhts also visited other homes where they found three pits being constructed on. Tom particularly encouraged this home to join efforts with the neighbors and improve on their area because in this particular area, they don't have latrines. Tom also encouraged in every home they visited to have dish racks. He continued pointing to one dish rack of one residents near the trading center as a reference. Tom realized that most residents actually have come to admire the dish rack of their fellow resident and one resident said he was going to look at the dish rack and also make one just like it,

Ownership Story
There is a resident in the village who has started constructing a house for his family after Tom encouraged him that it was right for him to help his family and construct a better house for his family. Tom also had encouraged him on the previous visit that it would be great for his family to have this years Christmas in a new house and he has already started taking action by collecting new bricks and bringing them to the location of the house where it will be constructed.
