Lesson Taught
Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
Notes
Ida went to Maliga and taught a Bible lesson “Loving others “ Mrs Kirabira took the group through a quick preview which was well done. Ida asked the group to tell her their neighbors each one. Fida named her two neighbors Kalinaki and Munaku, Scovia said that her neighbor died and was called Yakobo. Most of them named their neighbors until they all finished. Ida thanked them for taking the responsibility of knowing them, some community members in other countries don’t know their neighbors and it’s none of their business. Then after all had named their neighbors, Ida asked Fida to read from Luke 25-38. During the reading the community was listening attentively and quiet. Ida asked them what they thought , Kateme said that her close neighbor is her husband. Kalinaki stood and confessed that he was wrong, he didn’t know his neighbor at all. There was silence for a moment. Ida encouraged the community to always learn from the Good Samaritan. He helped the victim because he was made in the image of God just like all of us. We must not help those who will pay us back and leave the vulnerable. Jesus said himself that “what so ever you do to the least of my brothers, you do it for me” so brothers and sisters, give and not expect anything back. Ida concluded by encouraging the community to love all and stop discrimination.
