- Introduction
Since Life Skills Education and Counseling program is coming to an end in this village, Lorna went to mobilize the community to attend the final meeting.
Overview
When Lorna arrived she stopped at the chairman’s place and asked him whether he had mobilized his people and he mentioned that he had. Previously Lorna met with three of the Chairmen from the different local councils on a strategy on how to mobilize the people to attend the last meeting. After meeting the chairman Lorna drove to Yafesis home where the meetings are held and together they moved to about 15 homes mobilizing the community members for the meeting. Most of the community members thought that we were going to have a lesson but Lorna told them that there would be no lesson but that she was mobilizing them to come to the meeting. Some of the Muslims were rushing to go and pray then come to the meeting. Lorna joked with them when she told them that the year must have changed in a good way because the zeal of the community to study was high. They said it is a New Years resolution. They mentioned to everyone the time and meeting place and they agreed to be there. After this Lorna came back to Jinja.
