David and Stevens intention of going to this village was to have a sanitation improvement meeting aimed at assessing the sanitation progress.Unfortunately they were not able to have the meeting because the majority of the community members were going for the burial in Nabisogi the next village. They moved around the trading centre together with mr mpata the adviser on the sanitation committee and in some few homes of the most stubborn members who had not worked and improved on their hygiene facilities. for example in Lolians home they didn’t see any progress . This time they were able to find him in his home, where he told them that they were the first people to tell him about the clear importance of having a toilet . They explained to him why most of his kids were having big stomachs and always sickly. After Lilian listening to David and Steven,he asked for one week before he would see a Latrine fully constructed in loliani,s home. They continued and moved to the other eight homes and together they were able to see good progress and improvement of their home facilities. They thanked the owners and therefore advised them where there was need for improvement like their bath rooms were some how short and there was need for them to construct and raise them to the required heights. They moved to the trading centre where two homes were not having a toilet but they were not able to see anyone around as they had left for burial.David and Steven asked Mpata who is the chairman mvule program and Adviser on the water committee to keep reminding and encouraging the owners of those homes.Generally on the side of hygiene and sanitation there was great improvement in the various homes as compared to how Kibo found them. They were not able to know how much the community members had contributed for their borehole account because the treasurer of the borehole was away for the burial.
