Notes
Harriet made a surprise visit to Bukudumira and this was intended to see whether participants use stoves on daily basis , have smeared their facilities or built the fire risen stands for firewood storage. When she reached in the village she started walking home to home randomly. Fortunately in the homes she visited all the participants were using their stoves on daily basis and this was evidenced by the absence of three stones fire in the kitchens which implies that they have no other alternative to cook food other than cooking on the fuel efficient stove. Also on the side of smearing and building of the fire risen stands for firewood storage it was interesting to see most people have smeared and maintained their facilities well smeared. Some people who did not have the firewood risen stand have also started building them because they have learnt that it is also good to store firewood-that they will use during the rainy season. Harriet also encouraged those who were lagging behind or with out firewood risen stands to talk to their husbands to help and build them in the kitchens. Harriet also reminded them about the women conference that is to take place on 24th January 2020 . He also asked the women to discuss ,agree and plan with the husbands on how the family will be run when they are a way for the conference.
