Notes
Martin went to Igerera A, he walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the new facility constructions and encouraging the residents about the standards. Because some homes are not constructing their sanitation facilities in a good standard, because kibo is telling them to work on them. But if kibo encourages them about the standards and maintenance, those facilities can help them for a long time. But good enough some homes have started constructing their facilities like latrines, kitchens, hand washing stands and shower facilities with bricks and cement. In the homes they walked in, Ngobi Baligasima’s new latrine was constructed, and he is planing for roofing, Matia he constructed a new hand washing stand with bricks and cement and it’s working and Ruth Mugalula, dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep it’s under construction. Generally the community members have worked hard on their sanitation facilities like new pit latrines, rubbish pits, kitchens, shower areas and hand washing stands. According to what they have done, the residents are willing to work on their sanitation facilities to change their village. And kibo is also willing to work with them. And the village leaders are also willing to encourage the community members about their sanitation facilities, because they are concerned to with kibo. The group walked in 40homes.
