Notes
When Tom arrived in the village, he was joined by two committee members who were very happy to see kibo back to their village. One of the committee members said he thought kibo was done working in the village but was happy to see Tom back to the village. After greeting, they discussed about the situation of sanitation and hygiene in the village. They said that some residents had continued to work even through the Christmas period but also suggested that some residents had not done anything since. They all agreed to move together towards the upper section. As they started moving, they noticed that in the second home they visited, the resident had constructed a new shower facility as well as improving on her latrine. They all thanked the elderly lady for improving on her home. She also said that she was going to fix her kitchen. From that home they moved to other homes encouraging residents to improve on some of their facilities as well as encouraging those who have not yet finished to work and finish their facilities. In one home, they found when the resident had finished his new latrine as well as constructing a new hand washing stand. His latrine was also roofed with an iron sheet. Tom and the committee members thanked the resident for constructing a new Latrice as well as constructing the hand washing stand. He also said he was going to construct a hand washing stand for his mother in her home. One of the committee members said he was also going to construct the hand washing stand because he liked what the resident had done. In many other homes visited, they were encouraging residents to improve on the facilities and maintaining them so they can last longer. After walking around, they met the chairman of the village who welcomed Tom and thanked kibo for going back to their village. He said he was also going to put in more efforts to get his village improve now that its 2020. After Tom left for jinja.
