- Notes
- Suzan went to the lower side of the village to monitor the maintenance of the healthy and safe kitchens facilities such as smearing all their buildings, stove usage and repairing of the spoilt facilities. When she arrived, she met some members with their leaders waiting at the meeting place.
They first sat down and exchanged greetings then began discussing about various program activities going on currently in their village. The group chairperson on the behalf of the members, thanked Kibo group for the advice and lessons taught to them, saying that building the fuel efficient stoves has greatly improved on their healthy lives.
Thereafter, they got up and walked around the village visiting home to home while
monitoring different facilities. Some members had maintained their facilities by smearing all their houses, building strong dish racks and roofing their kitchens which previously had holes and licked whenever it rained. Some members managed to repair and smear their stoves which had cracked all over.
Suzan thanked the members for the good work done and encouraged them to continue maintaining their facilities and building more stoves at their neighboring villages which would enable them earn some money. The chairperson also informed Suzan how some of them had already started earning some money through stove building, and they managed to buy themselves some home basics and taking care of their families.
Suzan was so impressed on hearing that and encouraged them to continue working together for an effective development, and the meeting came to and end wishing one another a happy stay.
