Healthy and Safe Kitchens
Notes
Jessica went to Naisamula village purposely to monitor the maintenance of the healthy and safe kitchens facilities and the stove usage. When she arrived there, she met the members gathered at the meeting place with some of their group leaders. Among the members was the village VHT and the L.C. 1 chairperson. Jessica was warmly welcomed to the village that day and together they sat down and briefly discussed about the progress of the program activities such as stove building at the neighboring villages as well as smearing of the stoves and other buildings. The group chairperson informed Jessica how they had earned some money out of stove building and were able to provide for their families as well as buying some gifts for themselves. Later on, they got up and began walking around the village visiting home to home while monitoring different facilities. Most members had smeared all their buildings and were cooking on their fuel efficient stoves without any complaints while a few were observed repairing their destroyed facilities. Jessica thanked all the members for their effort and encouraged them to continue working together and maintaining their facilities always. The meeting came to an end wishing each other the best.
