Notes
Enock visited the community to check on the progress of all the facilities. The main target of the visit was to check on the dish racks construction and standardization of the facilities as well as to emphasise the maintenance of the latrines, use of ash in the latrines to chase flies and bad smell out of the latrines. THere were some new dish racks already constructed, with good poles and he challenged the chairman LC1 to also look at the new dish racks to copy and construct the new one in his home. Enock left when he had cut down the poles and told me he is going to make the best in the village. The latrine holes which were dug and left for a while, people were constructing on them. Enock was impressed when they were making concrete foundations and using bricks to construct on them. In one of the homes, the chairman told Enock that the lady had just had a miscarriage and lost twins. She was sitting in the yard in dirty clothes as the relatives were just watching her and not helping her. Enock encouraged them to go to the hospital to get proper medication since she looked so dehydrated. The people are so appreciative for the great work and enjoying the sanitation improvements of the homes unlike before when they didn't have most of the facilities.
