- Notes
- Abraham met thirty one Sinde community members and the purpose was to discuss how they will open a group Account.
They want to have a group because they have money they collect for bore hole repair but it is kept in the treasury’s house which is dangerous because any time the house may catch fire or someone to steal it.
They have a problem of the distance to Bugiri town where the banks are located. At first they suggested not to have an Account because of the distance but again they saw that it is necessary to have one because one of their village member lost everything because his house caught fire.
They decided to open one as a group so as to keep their money but still they were struggling to get one bank because some were thinking about Centenary bank and others were thinking about micro finance bank.
Abraham advised them to go to Bugiri and check first with those two banks so that when they will bring the report to the members they will be able to decide which bank they want to keep their money.
They said they are going to send two people to Bugiri and they will discuss after getting the report from them.
Some members started a church in this village and it is doing well now after some confusion which was brought by some church members about the bore hole.
