Notes
Abraham met twenty four Kivule community members and the purpose was to continue discussing what they hope to do as a village. The chairman Mr Christopher thanked the members and told them that as they are doing piggery they can also add poultry in a small scale. He showed the group the structure he has designed to see that he can keep some birds in it. Abraham also encouraged them to continue thinking and be creative like the chairman because it gives them more things to do not to depend only on one thing and if it fails then you will be down complete but always to try and see what works. He told them that’s why God blesses as in different ways not in one way. So it is good trying thinks to see what you are good at. There was a man who can from somewhere and he asked about Kibo as an NGO and he said that they are warned about people grabbing the land, that they come and tell the villagers to sign some documents which they come and claim the land. Abraham thanked him for the advice because it is even on radios about people grabbing some people’s land. He told the group that Kibo has been in this place for many years and no body has claimed that his land was taken. He reminded them that Kibo has planted trees at the King palace and it does not mean that Kibo will come back and take the Kings land. He said that anyone to claim the land must have the agreement you made that you are buying that land if not then he or she can not claim what does not belong to him or her. Abraham is hoping to take the district CDO also and he will explain to people. The group decided that those who would like to keep chickens it is okay because it is a value added to what they are doing.
