- Abraham and Chris went to kigalama village but prior to that visit Abraham had made a follow-up call to know the status quo of the village,that is when one of the members raised a concern that one of the leaders they put on committee was mishandling the community funds.
So this being a very sensitive matter, Abraham and Chris felt is was more important to first meet with the leaders and hear their side of story before they could meet the members ,although the weather was so bad that it started raining as soon as Abraham and Chris reached, they were able to meet the chairperson and Mr makka the church leader plus 20 other members including 12 women and 8 men.
The church leader who was trusted with the responsibility of collecting the money and then handing it over to the treasurer said that indeed the community members had mobilized themselves and collected more than 400,000 shillings , he said this money was later handed over to the community treasurer however when the church leader heard of the speculations that the money was being mishandled by the chairperson and the treasurer, he reached out to the chairperson who admitted that it was true he had used some money but was waiting for the harvest so he can refund the money back to the community Account.
The community church leader requested Abraham and Chris to help them facilitate a meeting involving the leaders and the community members next week on Friday 14/02/2020, Abraham asked the community members and leaders to mobilize each other for the next meeting.
