- It was kind of a hard day as almost nothing was accomplished that day due to the rains that couldn’t just stop. Alex and David had gone to hold a meeting with the village about the sanitation standards, encourage those with open pits to construct on them and hand washing triggering. Unfortunately the day’s rainfall couldn’t allow and the village chairman suggested that we cancel the program and reschedule for another day. The sanitation committee members would have another meeting and plan for another day of the village meeting . Alex and David decided to leave since it was getting late and suggested to the members that were present to get a day soon with in the following week. They were some people that had started constructing on their new pits in their homes for example one of the VHT, Mugote George of the village had started to construct on his 40ft pit latrine.
