Notes
Jessica went to the upper side of the village to monitor the stove usage and the maintenance of the other program facilities such as the shower areas, latrines, dish racks, firewood storages and rubbish pits. When she arrived there, she found a group of participants gathered at the chairperson’s home where the meetings take place always. They welcomed her and briefly settled down and first discussed about the progress of the program activities taking place currently such as continuous smearing of the buildings, building stoves at the neighboring villages and construction of the high risen firewood storages. Later on, they got up and began walking around the village visiting home to home while monitoring different facilities. In the process, many had put up the firewood storages and were cooking on their new stoves with no more complains, while Other members had not reconstructed their facilities such as the dish racks, shower areas and latrines which were found in a bad state. However, they reported to work on them once they found enough time. Most of the dish racks and kitchen roofs were destroyed by the termites and Jessica encouraged the members to build movable dish racks and also to apply black oil on the stems before constructing them. They appreciated Jessica’s advice and the meeting came to an end wish each other a blessed day.
