Alex first went to Namutumba district water offices and had a chance to meet with the district water engineer and other district officials who appreciated so much Kibo’s efforts and work done in the district. Alex mobilized them to come for the triggering session and sanitation launch in Butabira village on Friday 14/2/2020. Many of them showed interest to come and be part. The water engineer appreciated kibo group for the water wells provided to many of the villages in Namutumba that have struggled for clean water. Also he thanked kibo group for taking up the repairs too as the district is grappling with many boreholes in the district that broke down and there is no funds to repair. Kibo group plans to repair 7 broken wells in the district and it’s a very big help to the village. In Butabira village, kibo group is planning to repair the broken well there and now at the point of preparing the village for the triggering meeting expected on Friday 14. Alex later went to the sub county to meet with the community development officer, parish chief and the sub county chief as wells mobilize them for the triggering meeting in Butabira. They were very happy that they were informed earlier and promised to attend that day. Alex proceeded to meet with the drama group that is expected to perform at the triggering day in Butabira. He met the group leader called Geoffrey and was told that has to do a good job to teach sanitation through drama and songs that he will perform. Alex was unable to reach Butabira village but talked to the chairman on phone to remind them about mobilization of all the people to come for the triggering. WASH will continue to go back and meet with the village leaders and prepare the village for triggering meeting.
