Alex was in Butabira to make final preparations for triggering that will take place on Friday 14/02/2020. He met with all the village leaders and asked if the mobilization of the village was going on well. The village leaders told Alex that they had moved around the whole village 3 times mobilizing everyone to attend the triggering meeting. They had planned to do a final mobilization of the whole village and two surrounding villages of Buganza and Irondo on Thursday 13/2/2020. The village leaders are very excited that kibo group will be helping them clean their village because there is still need for the village to improve their sanitation standards. There is one organization currently in Butabira village but are working very closely with Irondo primary school. The NGO only selected some volunteers in the village who were trained a little bit about sanitation and move around the village encouraging people to have these sanitation facilities in their homes. However the visible sanitation facilities do not meet the standards and WASH shall put more emphasis on construction of standard facilities. Alex also visited the drama group and met them practicing very hard for Friday. Alex witnessed some of the activities they are preparing and looked good. He told them to keep time in everything they will be performing that day because a lot needs to be covered that day. The general feeling in the village is good with many people getting excited for Friday triggering day.

The only village well they have is on and off breaking down regularly because of bad pipes and also so many people use this well putting it at a great risk of breaking down any time.
