Martin went to Mpumiro, he walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the facility construction, and to guide the residents about the standards. Good enough the community members are working on their sanitation facilities like digging the new pit latrines, others are constructing them, rubbish pits, shower areas, others have constructed the hand washing stands and the kitchens like Wilber kabyakasu, he dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep, he constructed it, he is in a process of roofing it, Lovisa Ngobi, their grandson dug for her a new pit latrine 20ft deep it’s under construction, Muhammad Maganda, he is digging a new pit latrine, it’s now 15ft deep and he is still continuing to make it 30ft deeper, before he construct it, Mbabali Maganda, he dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep, it’s under construction and Gonza Kalinaki, did a great work on the new facilities, because he dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep, he constructed it and he is in a process of roofing, he constructed a new shower area and his wife smeared it, because kibo encourages them to work on their sanitation facilities together and they have worked on their hand washing stand and it’s working, which is so good for themselves and for the kibo staff. The group was encouraging the residents about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their latrines as well as their homes. After that, Martin had a brief meeting with the village leaders, to discuss about how they can help the community members to increase the speed to work on their sanitation facilities. Fainaly the three VHTS decided to divide that village into three parts. So that everyone can work on his side, to make the work easier, and they all agreed for that. And when kibo staff goes their, he go direct to that one responsible for that area, to work with him or her. As kibo is still working with that village, the group walked in 32homes.
