- Notes
- Harriet found the participants already gathered at the meeting place. The group warmly welcomed Harriet to their village.
The meeting begun with an opening prayer that was led by Alo Matilda who thanked the lord for giving journey mercies to kibo staff that has enabled them to work in their village.
Harriet thanked the members for having turned up for the meeting in big numbers.
She went straight to read to the community their evaluation findings so that they are also able to evaluate themselves.
One member called Nekesa told the group that she very thankful to kibo for empowering them with different skill, following up with them and guiding them where necessary. She added that before evaluation she had kept three stones in her kitchen along side the fuel efficient stove which was so tempting to her. But when she show kibo staff carrying out evaluation, tracking all that she realized, re-evaluated herself and decided to take out the three stones and since then her stove has been so effective.
Matilda also added that during evaluation exercise she realized the importance of being a leader that is a good leader must be exemplary. She said that she able to walk with kibo evaluation team and got a chance to see homes that were more clean with all the facilities well smeared which challenged her and immediately after evaluation she also went home and smeared her facilities.
They also said that the group has started saving some money because they plan to buy plates to add on saucepans that kibo gave them and start a community catering group that will help them fetch money to the group.
Harriet told them that they should continue meeting to share ideas, follow up with each other, guide each other to promote program sustainability .
The group once again thanked kibo for working with them and encouraged them to always check or follow up with them and guide them where necessary.
