Notes
Martin went to Igerera A, he walked around with the Chairman LC1, LC2 and VHTS. Their intention was to check on the sanitation improvement in the lower section of the, village and check on the hand washing improvement and hand washing construction. But good enough some homes have worked on them, and others are correcting the bricks to start constructing them. Because they have seen the value of washing hands after visiting the latrines. For other facilities like digging the new pit latrines, the big number of homes in that village have worked on them. And others have constructed them and others are still constructing them. For those who have worked on their sanitation facilities like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities, the group was encouraging the residents about maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their latrines as well as their homes. And for those who are still working on their facility constructions, the group was encouraging them about good methods and standards. Because without encouraging the residents about those things, those facilities can not stay for a long time, and they can help them for a short time. Generally the community members in that village, have worked on their sanitation facilities even if they have not completed other facilities like hand washing stand. So the group was encouraging the residents to work on their sanitation facilities in a short time, so that they can do other things like digging in their Gardens, because their in a rain season. Because the group needs them to have enough food for their homes. As kibo is still working in that village, the group walked in 40homes.
