- Abraham met twenty seven Ikumbya community members and the purpose was to discuss how to finalize the opening of a group account.
The chairperson Mss Nabirye told the meeting that she thinks the members who went went to consult which bank can be fit for them they did not do the good job, they information they brought was not enough. She suggested that they send some people again so that they can get a full information and they will base on that to decide which bank to open a group account.
Abraham advised the group not to rush with doing things because what they going to is not something they can do it again soon but what will take time because it need more time, effort.
The group decided to send more two people to Kamuli town and check with two banks Centenary and Post bank. They said by next week they have to meet and decide according to the information they will get because they are having money they collect for repairing their bore hole in case it breaks down but they are keeping it in their houses which not a good idea.
Abraham reminded them to know to start thinking how they will be separating the funds for repairing their well and the saving for giving out soft loans to the members. They are going to get books for saving so that when a member saves he or she has the records and the treasurer also will record down so that if there is any question it is easy to find out.
