- Notes
- Harriet and Jeska went to kalitumba village to meet the local leaders and healthy and Safe kitchens leaders to discuss and guide her on how best to resume working in their after the break during coved 19.
They found only one person waiting at the meeting place and the water and soap was in place and who ever came to the meeting was very much aware about coved 19 that is every one washed hands first before sat down for the meeting as they maintained social distance however none of them had masks.
Harriet had carried some masks that she gave each one to put on before the meeting.
During the meeting members told Kibo staff that after the break of covid 19 , they have embraced washing hands even the children are much aware a bout it.
A few members who were in the meeting said that for them they have been using their stoves on daily basis but they were not sure about others in the community.
They asked kibo to resume or to plan a home to home follow up so that they can advise them in case they found any challenge.
They asked kibo staff that how will they keep social distance Incase they found a woman cooking in her kitchen with her children.
Harriet told them that she will first request them to move out of the kitchen as kibo staff enters and later moves out as the owner of the kitchen moves back in the kitchen.
They will share their experience with the stove and Incase of any challenge kibo will help them fix or advise.
They also advised them to continue smearing their home facilities for durability.
The community leaders was so happy to see kibo staff in their village and promised to kibo social distance or guide others to keep social distance. The chairperson LC1 also promised to work hand in hand with kibo during the program implementation.
