Notes
Irene went to Nabikenge village to meet the village leaders in order to discuss the way forward for the health education lessons in their village and to follow up on the ministry of health’s guidelines in their community. The meeting was started with a ward of prayer, the chairperson thanked Kibo for having opened their eyes to the various diseases that can affect their health and that when COVID came they already had an idea of how to prevent and preventing it since they had taken lessons on airborne diseases.he also thanked his members for following the guidelines and encouraged them to continue being patient until the president says the country is free from the virus. Irene asked the members to remind themselves about the guidelines and each member was asked to mention one guideline, encouraged the members to keep using the masks especially when in crowds, washing Hands frequently, and other measures. Irene also asked members to ask questions related to the current situation and what they don’t understand about the virus. Segonga the chairman asked why are children below 5 years not given masks? , Margret asked how long does the virus take to die especially when in the air, Isabirye asked why the virus affects mostly the elderly especially those with illnesses? And many questions that made the meeting so interactive and more educative to the community members. Irene then asked the chairman to call the district and ask more about their gathering and also inform other community members to follow the guidelines. Irene also encouraged the members to use the local tailoring areas around their village in order to purchase cheap but recommended masks and to support their community.
