Notes
Tape and Jeska went to Ituba Namalowe to follow up on smearing of the home facilities and construction of firewood storages. They were received by the Chairperson LC1 who walked with them through different homes. They walked in around 18 homes and the challenge was majority had stopped smearing their home facilities except a few who concentrated on stoves only. They took this opportunity to encourage them to smear their home facilities so that they last longer and looks neat. Also some people were still cooking on the three stones alongside the fuel efficient stove. Kibo staff reminded them about the dangers of cooking on the three stones like children getting burnt and inhaling smoke that may lead to chest related illnesses. They also found most people who lacked firewood storage. They talked to them and encouraged them to put them in place so that they are able to save firewood that they will use during the rainy season. They also asked them to responsible and put those facilities in place because they help them and their families to cook and live a healthy life.
